Remembering the Thundercats
Do You Remember The Thundercats?
I remember watching both the Thundercats and the Silverhawks. They were a staple of my weekday afternoons for a long time. I loved them so much that I saved my allowance for weeks so I could purchase my own toys. I had about half of the characters in the Thundercats.
I recently rewatched some of the Thundercat Episodes. It is hard to believe that I had any interest in that show in any way. The concept was awesome. The story was good, but the writing was horrible and the animation was dreadful. I suppose the animation was good for that time period and the fact it was made for TV cartoons.
There is still a feeling of devotion to this show. It was part of my childhood; part of what shaped me to be who I am today. It will always be remembered and as long as I remember it, it will never disappear.
Thundercats TV Show Clips - Old Show or the New Show
You can find clips of the old TV show and the new TV show on YouTube. Frankly I love both of the shows. It is awesome to relive the episodes that I watched as a kid, but I think the new series is much more adult friendly.
The Characters:
Lion-O: The Boy Leader. He is Learning how to be a leader while fighting his childish ways
Jaga: The Spirit Elder who guides them along the way.
Tygra: The warior who can disappear like a ninja with his whip
Panther-O: The Tough Warrior with his Mechanical Skills and a Short Temper
Cheetara: The Woman of the bunch who is super fast.
WilyKit and WilyKat: The Kid Twins who have a pocket full of tricks.
Those are the main characters. See the rest of the characters at Wikipedia

Thundercats Movie Trailer - It is Still a Myth
There has been a roomer going around the internet that the powers that be are planning a live action movie. As far as I can tell, that movie has been options several times, but no one has ever pushed it through to actual production. The fans have been hoping for a live action movie for years. I don't know if we will ever get one. We have some really great fan made trailers though.
